On xmas I received some goodness and one of them was this precise mechanical pencil. I was more then happy to get my hands on one of these. The tool is called the 0.3mm REG (Regulator) made by Staedtler for the Japanese market. The pencil features a full aluminum body with a lead regulator and a lead type indicator. The regulator lets you customize how much lead you want to dispense on each click. Overall the REG has a solid weight on the tip side. The grip is nice and firm. Aside from the clean aesthetic this pencil functions well. Recommended for that individual who loves fine details.
On a side note, the lead that it came with has a nice glide and flexible. They call it the Mars Micro Carbon, quite different form the Pentel ones I've been using. I think I'll be switching. Less dust and cleaner lines.
